In 1977, Dr. Federico Manero Guardiola began an ambitious project of collective medical healthcare creating the "Centro Clínico San Carlos".
This Centre has aimed to offer medical healthcare of the highest quality and progressively included the most up to date facilities for diagnosis and treatment: C.A.T. scan, Nuclear Medicine, Lithotricia, Radioinmunotests, Angiographic studies, etc.
Since 1977, the "Centro Clínico San Carlos" has improved and continually maintained its technological and welfare capacity up to date in order to offer a patient the best and most advanced technology, always maintaining the founder's principles, assuring an optimum relationship between doctor and patient by giving a personalized healthcare of high scientific quality.
In 2001 the Centre was modernized and expanded its human and technological resources to create a new Medical Centre, the "Hospital Internacional Medimar".

The Hospital has 6 floors at its disposal for medical consultations with an area of 4.000 square meters.

- Inpatient Building, 3 floors ,each with 22 rooms, provided with the most recent innovations for medical healthcare and with the highest level of comfort.
- Outpatient Clinic for minor operations without hospitalization.
- Emergency Unit with 6 operating theatres, Intensive Care and Reanimation Unit with 6 beds.

You can request an appointment for any specialist, every day of the week, by calling number 902373737 or 965162200 from 9.00 to 22.00 hours without interruption.
24 hours Healthcare
The Hospital Internacional Medimar offers its patients a wide range of medical and surgical specialities, available 24 hours a day; duty doctors, specialists, internists, emergency unit, home hospitalization, ambulances, mobile intensive care unit.
Patient Services Department
This department is managed by the "Clinical Comission" of the Hospital
and looks after your welfare.
The Patient Services Department has been created to offer personalized attention for your complete satisfaction. The people responsible for this are the medical director, the head nurse and the head of the Patient Services Department.
Reception
At reception you will find poliglot secretaries who can help you with English, French, German and Dutch.
The "Hospital Internacional Medimar" has agreements with the majority of European Health Insurance Companies and the medical assistance of the policyholders can be handled directly from the Hospital.
